No picnic… XCR at Hanging Rock

Seth O’Donnell and Jessica Coyne took line honours over 12km at the first individual round of the Athletics Victoria winter season.

2022 Australian cross country champion Seth O’Donnell recorded a comfortable victory, clearly breaking away from the rest of the field before halfway to win by 29 seconds in 37 minutes, 29 seconds.

In second was Harry Norman (37:58) who prevailed in a close finish with Michael Kernahan, who clocked the same time.

In the women’s event Jessica Coyne and Bianca Puglisi ran together for much of the race before Coyne pulled away over the final stages for a 7 second victory. Coyne clocked 44:29 for the course.
